BIR Journals Online SUBSCRIBER HELP & SERVICES:
Frequently Asked Questions about Member Subscriptions
(Imaging and DMFR Individual (non-member) subscribers click here.)

  1. Will I receive a password? May I share my password with friends, or is use limited solely to me?

When you complete the subscription process, you will be asked to choose a user name and a password. You are the only person authorized to use this password.

  2. What if I forget my password?

We have instructions for what to do if you forget your user name or your password. Details are included as part of the activation process.

  3. Why should I activate my Member subscription?

    Member Subscribers have access to:
Current issues plus the online archive, tables of contents, abstracts, full text searching, full text display, document delivery, PDFs, links to Medline, interjournal links to other HighWire Press journals, and the advantage of having password access to BIR Journals Online from any computer connected to the Internet.
[Ordering Procedure] [Cost] [BIR Membership] [IADMFR Membership]

Without activating your subscription, you have access to Tables of contents, abstracts, and full text searching at no cost and without having to register. For BJR you will also have access to full text of material 24 months following publication.

  4. How can I tell whether my institution has subscribed?

If your institution has a print subscription, it will be eligible to have access to the electronic version of the journal as well. You will automatically have access to the tables of contents, abstracts, full text searching, full text display, PDFs, Medline links, and future tables of contents. You will also see a button at the top of the page confirming that you are signed in as part of an institution.

  5. How can I access BJR/Imaging/DMFR Online if I don't have access through an institutional subscription?

You may wish to apply for BIR membership to access BJR and Imaging Online, or for IADMFR membership to access DMFR, BJR and Imaging Online. Without a subscription, you have access to Tables of contents, abstracts, and full text searching (without full text viewing) at no cost and without having to register.

  6. How do I become a member of the BIR or IADMFR?

Information about BIR Membership and application forms are available from the BIR.

Information about IADMFR Membership and application forms are available from the IADMFR.
