about Individual (Non-Member) Subscriptions - Imaging and DMFR only

  1. Why is there no online access to Imaging and DMFR for individual (non-member) subscribers?

    Individual access to BIR online journals is reserved for the members of the BIR and the IADMFR. Joining these organizations is a more cost effective way to gain access to the online journals. There are also other membership benefits to which you will be entitled. Below you will find information about becoming a member of the BIR or IADMFR.

  2. How can I tell whether my institution has subscribed?

    If your institution has a print subscription to, it will be eligible to access that BIR Journal Online as well. You will automatically have access to the tables of contents, abstracts, full text searching, full text display, PDFs, Medline and links, and future tables of contents. You'll also see a button at the top of the page confirming you're signed in as part of an institution.

  3. How can I access Imaging Online if I am not a BIR member, or access DMFR Online if I am not an IADMFR Member, and I don't have access through an institutional subscription?

    You may wish to apply for BIR or IADMFR membership. Online access is FREE to members of these organizations. Without a subscription you have access to Tables of contents, abstracts, and full text searching (without full text viewing) at no cost and without having to register.
